Gentle Yoga Flow
Gentle Yoga Flow is is taught by instructor Sue Ebbeson on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 to 9:45 am. It is a class for anybody who may feel they are not able to practice yoga because they thought it was only for people who were already flexible, strong, and able to twist themselves into a pretzel. The class will offer modifications so that the student can work on their strength, balance, and flexibility no matter what shape they are in. Through breath and gentle stretches, we will slow down, relieve stress, and participate in a yoga that is inviting to all. Gentle Yoga with Sue Ebbeson is a place for guests of any age or physical condition to heal from injuries, increase flexibility, and improve balance.
So if you enjoy walking, running, biking, pickleball, golf, or any other activity, this class can be a way to continue doing what you love with less injuries and more strength and flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Barre? – Barre is a low impact, high intensity workout. Small isometric movements target and tone certain areas of your body. Barre lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, and arms, and burns fat. You can see results in as little as ten classes.
What do I wear to class? – You can wear anything that you would normally workout in. Please try to avoid loose shorts or shirts. You can take class in sticky socks or sneakers. Please wear indoor sneakers only to class to keep the studio clean. Sneakers will be taken off during the mat and floor portion of the class.
Why do I shake? – You are shaking because your muscles in your body have reached the point of fatigue. We say, “Embrace the shake.” During class, we fatigue a certain muscle group and then stretch to elongate the muscles while they are warm. This leads to long, lean muscles.
Are there different levels of Barre Classes? – At Body Barre Fitness we offer Barre classes designed to work for all students, at all levels. The positions and movements in Barre class are basic. The depth that each student works will vary. Students will be able to experience a full body workout each and every Barre class that they take.
Do I need equipment to take Barre Class? – The studio will have everything that you need to take class. All you need is your workout clothing, socks or sneakers, and a water bottle.
When should I arrive? – You should arrive about five minutes prior to the beginning of class.
How do I get started? – All liability waivers, registration and payment is done when you sign up through our online class schedule.
"Patience and persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor. " - Joseph Pilates (1883 – 1967)
“I have studied pilates mat, theraband and fitness circle classes with Kristen since she started teaching Pilates in 1996. I was one of her first students. Kristen is an inspiring teacher. She has motivated me to continue training in pilates. She has also inspired me to learn more about my body, care about my flexibility and to care more about my overall well-being. Kristen is more than my pilates instructor. She has become one of my favorite people to listen to and be around. I enjoy her classes and our chats about health and fitness. Kristen is inspiring!”
